Dog Walking
Terms and conditions
1. Definitions
“Agreement” means these Terms & Conditions together with any booking, form, or service confirmation.
“Nutty Mutts” refers to Nutty Mutts Dog Walking, Training and Grooming, including Gemma Mason and any employees, contractors, or associates acting on behalf of the business.
“Client” means the person booking or using any service.
“Dog” means any animal under the Client’s ownership or responsibility.
“Services” includes dog walking, training, behaviour work, grooming, transport, home visits, and any related service provided.
2. Client Responsibility & Liability
The Client accepts full legal responsibility for their dog at all times.
The Client agrees to:

Be liable for any injury, damage, or loss caused by their dog to:
-
other dogs
-
people
-
property
-
-
Fully indemnify Nutty Mutts against any claims, legal action, costs, or damages arising from their dog’s behaviour
This applies at all times, including when the dog is under Nutty Mutts’ care.
3. Behaviour & Disclosure
The Client must disclose ALL known behavioural history, including:
-
aggression (dog or human)
-
reactivity
-
biting or snapping
-
chasing
-
anxiety or escape behaviour
Failure to disclose this = immediate termination of services without refund.
Nutty Mutts reserves the right to:
-
refuse any dog
-
remove any dog from group walks
-
require solo or training walks instead
Decision is at absolute discretion.
4. Group Walk Risk
The Client understands and accepts that:
-
Dogs will interact in a group environment
-
Even with supervision, injuries may occur, including:
-
scratches
-
bites
-
punctures
-
soft tissue injuries
-
The Client accepts all risk and agrees Nutty Mutts is not liable for these incidents unless caused by proven negligence.
5. Off-Lead Walking
-
Off-lead walking is entirely at Nutty Mutts’ discretion
-
Client provides explicit consent via booking/contract
The Client accepts that off-lead walking carries risks including:
-
injury
-
loss
-
road incidents
-
third-party interaction
Nutty Mutts is not liable for:
-
loss of dog
-
injury
-
death - unless caused by proven negligence.
6. Veterinary Treatment
If a dog becomes ill or injured:
-
Nutty Mutts may seek immediate veterinary care without prior consent
-
The Client agrees to pay ALL costs including:
-
treatment
-
transport
-
emergency call-out
-
No costs will be covered by Nutty Mutts under any circumstances.
7. Health & Vaccinations
The Client confirms the dog:
-
is fit and healthy for exercise
-
is free from contagious illness
Nutty Mutts is not liable for:
-
kennel cough
-
parasites
-
infections
-
illness transmission
Attendance is at the Client’s own risk. Dogs must NOT attend if:
-
in season
-
pregnant
-
unwell
8. Equipment & Property
The Client must provide:
-
suitable collar/harness
-
secure lead
-
ID tag (legal requirement)
Nutty Mutts is not responsible for:
-
lost or damaged equipment
-
damage inside the Client’s home
If keys/access are provided: The Client indemnifies Nutty Mutts against all property-related claims.
9. Access & Missed Visits
If access cannot be gained:
-
the walk will be cancelled and charged in full
10. Weather & Welfare Adjustments
Nutty Mutts may:
-
shorten walks
-
change location
-
cancel services - at any time for safety (e.g. heat, storms)
No refunds will be issued for welfare-based adjustments.
11. Media Consent
The Client gives permission for:
-
photos
-
videos
-
marketing use
All content remains property of Nutty Mutts.
12. Cancellations & Payments
48 Hour Rule
-
Less than 48 hours notice = full charge
-
No-shows = full charge
-
Session deducted if late cancellation/no-show
-
Must be paid as agreed
-
Nutty Mutts reserves the right to:
-
suspend services
-
cancel bookings
-
charge late fees
-
13. Termination of Services
Nutty Mutts may terminate services immediately if:
-
the dog poses a risk
-
terms are breached
-
payments are not made
-
behaviour was not disclosed
No refunds will be given.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law: Nutty Mutts shall not be liable for:
-
injury, loss, death of any dog
-
damage caused by the dog
-
third-party claims
-
illness or disease
Except where required by UK law (e.g. negligence causing death/personal injury).
15. Force Majeure
Nutty Mutts is not liable for failure to perform services due to:
-
extreme weather
-
illness
-
vehicle breakdown
-
emergencies
-
events outside reasonable control
16. Amendments
Nutty Mutts may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of services = acceptance.
17. XL Bully Compliance
All legal requirements under UK law must be met, including:
-
valid exemption certificate
-
insurance
-
microchipping
-
neutering
-
muzzle + lead in public
Nutty Mutts reserves the right to refuse service if compliance cannot be verified.
